Meet Rick Cole
A LIFETIME OF SERVICE
Rick Cole received 60% of the vote in the March 6th election to once again represent District 2 on the Pasadena City Council, a post he held for 12 years from 1983-95. He will take office on December 9.
Rick has spent four decades in public service as Pasadena Mayor, Councilmember and City Manager of the cities of Azusa, Ventura and Santa Monica. He currently serves as the Chief Deputy Controller for the City of Los Angeles and previously served that city as Deputy Mayor for Budget and Innovation.
Called one of “Southern California’s most visionary planning thinkers,” he teaches urban policy part-time at Occidental College and Pepperdine University. He is continuing his service on the Pasadena Planning Commission until he is seated on the Council.
